Privacy Policy

We collect the information you give us and the information created when you use Kaziva:

• Account information. Your name and email address, handled through our authentication provider (Clerk). We never see or store your password.
• Profile and application data. The information you provide to build your profile and generate applications — including your resume, work history, education, skills, writing samples, career goals, and the job postings (URLs or text) you submit.
• Generated content. The resumes, cover letters, screening answers, fit scores, and upskilling plans Kaziva produces for you.
• Billing information. Subscription and payment details are processed by our payments provider (Clerk/Stripe). We do not store your full card number.
• Usage and device data. Basic analytics about how the Service is used (pages, actions, approximate device/browser), via our analytics provider (PostHog).
• Feedback. Anything you submit through our in-app feedback tool (Sleekplan) or by email.

• To generate tailored applications from your real experience — and only your real experience.
• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To manage your account, subscription, and credit balance.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and (if you opt in) product news, via our email provider (Resend). You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.
• To understand and improve how the Service performs.
• To protect the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Kaziva uses AI models to draft and review your applications. To do this, the profile and job information you provide is sent to our AI providers — Anthropic (Claude) for drafting and review, and Perplexity for finding learning resources — solely to generate output for you. We select providers that do not use your data to train their models through their standard API. Kaziva does not sell your data or use it to train models.

We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service:

• Clerk — authentication and billing
• Convex — application database and backend
• Vercel — hosting and delivery
• Anthropic and Perplexity — AI processing
• Resend — transactional and product email
• PostHog — product analytics
• Sleekplan — feedback and bug reports
• Job data sources — to fetch and enrich the postings you ask about

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your profile data or your account at any time; when you do, we delete or de-identify your personal information except where we must retain it for legal, billing, or security reasons.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from within the app or by contacting us at support@kaziva.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, and we work only with providers who maintain their own security safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

Kaziva is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you through the Service or by email.
